Carpentry

The Work of A Carpenter in Churches and Homes

Here I am: Preacher, singer, songwriter, guitar player, but I’m also a carpenter.

How It Started

I grew up riding in a pickup truck with my Dad and brothers as we tackled all sorts of jobs to make a living. My grandpa was a preacher, carpenter and guitar player.

When I left the music business, a man in our Sunday school class grabbed a hold of me and would not turn loose until I could stand on my own in home repair.

A few years later, we discovered the need to build an ‘allergen free’ house for our kids. The endeavor was miraculous and life changing. As so many showed up in our life to help, it painted a pretty clear picture of how God gifts each of us for His purpose.

Are you seeing a pattern here? When I speak of God’s math, I’m referring to how, if one can stand back a ways, there’s a plan that looks like it was meant to be. In Him, it all adds up.

Project History

As He brings a need to our attention, we are compelled by His grace and mercy in our lives to get to be there for others. We’ve gotten to help build wheelchair ramps, make repairs in homes and churches, and even help with some automotive repairs, as a way to glorify God and simply pay it forward.
